Astronauts were seen pulling hilarious poses during a fun photo session aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

The crew of Expedition 73 took a break from their duties on Wednesday (July 2) to take quirky advantage of microgravity.

Some pictures showed them appearing to be upside down, while others captured them pulling comedic thinking poses.

NASA astronaut Jonny Kim reported: "Expedition 73 picture day! It was a great day to get together as friends and crewmates to take fun photos around the International Space Station."

Tasks aboard the space station usually include a busy schedule of scientific research and station maintenance.
