Following their recent highest-ever cocktail party, the crew of the International Space Station (ISS) has shown off the most remote barber shop.

NASA astronaut Nichole Ayers was on hand 260 miles above Earth to tidy up the locks of her fellow space people last weekend.

Astronauts on the ISS cut each other's hair using electric clippers attached to a vacuum, which immediately sucks up the hair clippings to prevent them from floating around in zero gravity.

Nichole Ayers said Monday, July: "We said goodbye to our Ax4 friends today. I was just reminiscing on the haircuts from last weekend! After a long quarantine, I think it was nice for them.

"We joked about how I might have a future in the haircutting business when I get back on Earth, but the reviews are still out."

Before the SpaceX Axiom-4 (Ax4) crew returned home Tuesday, the International Space Station had a multinational crew, primarily composed of astronauts from the United States, Russia, and Japan, with additional private astronauts from other countries aboard.
