A dog has been rescued after falling 30m (100ft) from a waterfall.

Volunteers from the Inverness, Cromarty and Burghead Coastguard Rescue Teams rushed to the Falls of Foyers in Moray after calls were made about a dog in trouble.

Reggie, a dog who was on holiday with his owner, had slipped 30m from the cliff face - and rescued him, unharmed.

HM Coastguard - Highland said: "Our volunteers were able to recover Reggie from the gorge before returning him to his relieved owner."

It added: "After a trip to the vets to get checked over Reggie will continue his trip, avoiding any more excitement."

The beauty spot is located near Loch Ness, with a gorge that rises to 42m in total.
