Woman finds massive 8-pound mushroom on side of road
The woman could barely hold the huge fungus in her arms.

A woman found a gigantic eight-pound mushroom on the side of the road.
She was seen struggling to lift the massive fungus after finding it in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang, China, on Aug. 11, 2025.
It was so wide she couldn't hold it comfortably in her arms but eventually managed to carry it home to dry it out in the sun.
The giant mushroom even dwarfed a cat.
Locals identified the mushroom to be a mafenbao - which is valued in traditional Chinese medicine and is believed to have hemostatic properties, meaning it can help stop bleeding.
