"Doctor Who" fans are being given the chance to own their own life-size Dalek or Tardis as they go on sale at a charity auction.

The props, which have already seen bids of nearly $2,000, are being offered up to the public by BBC Studios - with some never having gone on sale before.

Amongst the more than 300 lots on offer are the Doctor's sonic screwdrivers, a life-size Cyberman and cast-worn costumes.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the items will go towards BBC Children in Need.

Propstore CEO Stephen Lane said: “This is a truly special collection that reflects the depth, imagination, and enduring legacy of Doctor Who.

"Propstore is incredibly proud to be working with BBC Studios to bring these remarkable artefacts to auction and to help find them new homes where they’ll be appreciated and preserved.

"Supporting BBC Children in Need through this sale makes it even more meaningful, and we’re excited to offer fans and collectors the chance to own a piece of television history while contributing to an important cause."

Significant lots include the rehearsal sonic screwdriver of tenth and fourteenth doctor David Tennant, as well as fifteenth doctor Ncuti Gatwa's light-up sonic screwdriver from the episode Joy to the World, which has already seen bids of as much as £1,500 on the first day of auction.

Also on offer is a screen-matched, life-size cracked Tardis from the Series 13 New Year’s Eve special, Eve of the Daleks.

A life-size, ‘NSDA4’ Dalek from Series 7’s Asylum of the Daleks is also up for sale at the Propstore auction.

The model, made from wood, resin, rubber and metal, has appeared in every Dalek story since 2012 and served as a prominent “Time War” Dalek in 2013's 50th Anniversary episode The Day of the Doctor.

The Dalek has also been used extensively in official promotional appearances, including alongside Doctors past and present at Buckingham Palace.

The auction also marks the first time Ncuti Gatwa's costume from Series 2, Episode 8, The Reality War, has been made available to collectors.

A selection of companion costumes from across the Whoniverse, including Alex Kingston's character River Song’s costume from the episode Rain Gods and Karen Gillan's character Amy Pond's ensemble from series five’s Amy’s Choice.

Sarah Bold, Head of Marketing, Global Brands and Licensing at BBC Studios added: “Doctor Who has an extraordinary legacy, and this auction is a rare opportunity for fans to own pieces that have shaped its history.

"We’re proud to partner with Propstore on an event that not only raises vital funds for BBC Children in Need, but also helps ensure these iconic items are preserved and appreciated for generations to come."

The online auction runs until February 19, with 20 percent of hammer proceeds going towards BBC Children in Need.
