Since NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter arrived at Mars in 2006, the spacecraft has delivered some of the most detailed imagery ever captured of the Red Planet.

A spacecraft exploring the mysteries of Mars has celebrated its 20th anniversary.
Since NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter arrived at Mars in 2006, the spacecraft has delivered some of the most detailed imagery ever captured of the Red Planet.
Marking the milestone this week with image highlights from the mission, the space agency said: "For 20 years, our Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter has searched the planet for signs of long-ago water. It has sent back photos that are not only stunning, but useful – they'll help us when future astronauts land on Mars to explore it."
"MRO has sought out the history of water on Mars with its science instruments. In that time, it has sent back important data that will help us when future astronauts land on the planet and explore it."
The MRO has also captured quirkier sights, with observations including those being compared to an ear and a vast Teddy Bear face.
