Harry Kane lookalike predicts England will triumph over Norway

A Harry Kane doppelganger is backing England to march into the World Cup semi-finals – and reckons the Three Lions skipper will bag a double against Norway.

Danny Bullen, 34, turns heads whenever he pulls on an England shirt thanks to his uncanny resemblance to the England captain.

The dad-of-two says his likeness to the Bayern Munich ace is so striking that he can be stopped for dozens of selfies a day – especially when watching England in the pub.

Danny, from Bradford, West Yorks, said: "I get told it a lot in general that I look like Kane - but when I put on an England shirt it just amplifies it.

"To be honest, all the compliments are to Kane for looking like me!

"Being half Dutch, it's actually a bit strange how I have managed to look like him.

"But I enjoy it, and it comes with its pros, especially when we are winning."

He says he regularly gets mobbed by supporters whenever England are in action and can barely make it to the bar without being stopped for a chat.

But Danny admits things can become a little tense when England – or Kane himself – are having a bad game.

And ahead of Saturday's quarter-final clash against Norway, he is convinced England will edge through with their skipper playing the decisive role.

He said: "I think we can squeeze past Norway if we play as a team like we have been doing.

"It will be a close one and Kane will score a couple, including a winning penalty - come on England."

Danny, who is head of sales at Hope Park Workspaces, first realised he looked like Kane after pals started pointing it out when he was in his 20s.

The resemblance truly hit home during a stag do in 2018 when, aged 26, the diehard Arsenal fan was dared to wear a Tottenham Hotspur tracksuit and stand with a sign reading: "I'm a Harry Kane lookalike - will take photos for money."

Danny recalled: "I was stood on the side of the road with my mates sat in a bar on the other side laughing out the window.

"As an Arsenal fan, it hurt to wear the outfit.

"But I had stood there for about five minutes, and I managed to make about £8.

"That was when I realized I properly looked like him."

His lookalike status reached new heights during Euro 2024 when he won a Box Bar competition and was crowned the tournament's "ultimate" football "lookalike."

The prize included a table for the final and a $500 bar tab.

But after England's 2-1 defeat to Spain, Danny admitted he made a quick getaway.

He said he made a "swift exit" because he did not want to "face any jeers."

And supporters have occasionally mistaken him for the real thing when emotions are running high.

Danny said: "During the Euros 2020 semi-final versus Denmark, Kane wasn't playing very well and we ended up 1-0 down.

"I had this man walk up to me and say 'you need to sort yourself out' in a very serious manner, I was worried for a moment until he walked off.

"People swear at me sometimes when I'm at the bar or pub watching the game and it gets touch and go.

"But most of the time they have a laugh."

The 5ft 11in fan says being stopped for selfies has become part of daily life.

He said: "I don't mind having to do selfies, I guess it is all part of the fun.

"I also see people whispering and laughing to themselves, but it never bothers me."

Even Arsenal legend Martin Keown could not resist a joke when Danny recently bumped into him after the Gunners' Premier League title win.

Danny said: "I said to Martin, 'I'm sorry for looking like Kane', and he chuckled and replied 'Don't worry about it Harry' before walking off."

Now the Kane clone is dreaming of England going all the way.

Danny believes the Three Lions have one of the strongest squads in the tournament and says they have every chance of lifting the trophy.

Looking ahead, he is already eyeing up potential clashes with Argentina and France.

He said: "France is a different ball game, but I trust Tuchel to set us up tactically and correctly.

"I think we can do it.

"You have to believe England can do it, as what is the point otherwise?"
