CAN A BAD NIGHT'S SLEEP KILL A RELATIONSHIP?

FOR SOME COUPLES... APPARENTLY SO.

A NEW SURVEY OF 2,000 AMERICANS FROM AVOCADO GREEN MATTRESS FOUND MORE THAN ONE IN FIVE HAVE BROKEN UP WITH SOMEONE AT LEAST PARTLY BECAUSE OF THEIR ANNOYING SLEEP HABITS.

SNORING WAS THE MOST COMMON COMPLAINT, WITH ONE PERSON SAYING THEIR EX 'SNORED LIKE A CHAINSAW' AND THEY 'COULDN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE.'

THE STUDY, CONDUCTED BY TALKER RESEARCH, FOUND TOSSING AND TURNING AND STEALING THE COVERS ARE ALSO AMONG THE BIGGEST BEDTIME OFFENSES.

SO WHAT ABOUT YOU? WHAT SLEEP HABIT WOULD BE A DEALBREAKER IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP?

Research methodology:

Talker Research surveyed 2,000 general population Americans who have access to the internet; the survey was commissioned by Avocado Green Mattress and administered and conducted online by Talker Research between July 1–6, 2026. A link to the questionnaire can be found here.
