WHEN SHOULD KIDS START LEARNING HOW TO USE TECHNOLOGY RESPONSIBLY?

MANY PARENTS SAY... BEFORE THEY EVEN START KINDERGARTEN.

A NEW SURVEY OF 2,000 PARENTS OF YOUNG CHILDREN FROM PRIMROSE SCHOOLS FOUND THE AVERAGE MOM OR DAD BELIEVES THOSE LESSONS SHOULD BEGIN AROUND AGE FOUR.

THE STUDY, CONDUCTED BY TALKER RESEARCH, ALSO FOUND MOST PARENTS SAY THEY'RE STILL LEARNING HOW TO TEACH HEALTHY TECHNOLOGY HABITS THEMSELVES.

AND WHILE SCREENTIME IS A PART OF DAILY LIFE, MOST SAY THEY WANT THEIR CHILD'S TIME ON A SCREEN TO BE EDUCATIONAL.

SO WHAT'S YOUR BIGGEST RULE WHEN IT COMES TO KIDS AND SCREENTIME?

Research methodology:

Talker Research surveyed 2,000 parents of children aged 0–5 years who have access to the internet; the survey was commissioned by Primrose Schools and administered and conducted online by Talker Research between June 10–June 19, 2026. A link to the questionnaire can be found here.
