DO YOU ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT LABOR DAY IS ALL ABOUT?

A NEW SURVEY OF 2,000 AMERICANS FROM TALKER RESEARCH FOUND A THIRD DON'T KNOW WHEN LABOR DAY FALLS THIS YEAR – AND ONLY 61 PERCENT KNOW WHAT THE HOLIDAY ACTUALLY COMMEMORATES.

SOME THINK IT MARKS THE FOUNDING OF LABOR UNIONS, THE START OF FALL OR EVEN THE SIGNING OF THE U-S CONSTITUTION.

OF COURSE THE RIGHT ANSWER IS THAT LABOR DAY HONORS THE CONTRIBUTIONS AND ACHIEVEMENTS OF AMERICAN WORKERS.

AND THERE'S ONE THING MOST AMERICANS DO AGREE ON: NEARLY TWO-THIRDS SAY EVERY WEEKEND SHOULD BE THREE DAYS LONG.

SO... DID YOU KNOW WHAT LABOR DAY ACTUALLY CELEBRATES?

Research methodology:

Talker Research surveyed 2,000 general population Americans; the survey was administered and conducted online by Talker Research between Aug 13 and Aug 19, 2026. A link to the questionnaire can be found here.
