THEY SAY THAT RAISING A CHILD TODAY TAKES A VILLAGE, AND PARENTS FIND  THAT VILLAGE REQUIRES MORE TRUST THAN EVER BEFORE .

A NEW SURVEY OF 2,000 PARENTS OF YOUNG CHILDREN FROM THE GODDARD SCHOOL FOUND SEVEN IN 10 BELIEVE THEY HAVE TO PLACE MORE TRUST IN  PEOPLE TO HELP CARE FOR THEIR KIDS THAN THEIR OWN PARENTS DID.

THE STUDY, CONDUCTED BY TALKER RESEARCH, FOUND MOST FAMILIES NOW USE SOME FORM OF CHILDCARE, FROM RELATIVES AND FRIENDS TO DAYCARES AND EARLY EDUCATION PROVIDERS.

AND FOR MANY, THAT HELP MAKES WORK POSSIBLE. ABOUT A QUARTER SAY WITHOUT CHILDCARE, ONE PARENT WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE THE WORKFORCE ENTIRELY.

SO... WHO'S PART OF THE VILLAGE HELPING RAISE YOUR KIDS? WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Research methodology:

Talker Research surveyed 2,000 parents of kids ages 0 to 6 who have access to the internet; the survey was commissioned by The Goddard School and administered and conducted online by Talker Research between July 17 and July 27, 2026. A link to the questionnaire can be found here.
