An artist has created a portrait of Diana on the 25th anniversary of her death - made out of candles.

Artist Nathan Wyburn, 30, created the piece in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, who died in a car accident in Paris in 1997.

Nathan often creates portraits of celebrities out of objects, and has recently created Britney Spears out of ballerina slippers.

The striking piece sees Nathan light the candles, revealing a portrait of Diana smiling directly into the camera. He then blows out the candles, letting the portrait fade out.

The song in the background of the video is Elton John's "Candle in the Wind," that was originally released in 1973, in honor of Marilyn Monroe.

Elton then performed it at Diana's funeral, and re-released the song shortly after with new lyrics in tribute to the princess.

It then became the second highest-selling physical single of all time, with 33 million copies sold.

The song is also known as "Goodbye England's Rose," another reference to Diana, who was also nicknamed the People's Princess.

Diana died from injuries she sustained in a car crash in Paris on August 31, 1997, where she died alongside her partner Dodi Fayed and the driver of the car Henri Paul.

Her death caused a huge amount of public grief in the UK and worldwide, with an estimated 2.5 billion people watching her funeral.
