A rare Buddy Holly concert poster is set to fetch £10,000 ($12,200) at auction.

The original poster is advertising two of the "That'll be the Day" singer's shows at the Doncaster Gaumont in Doncaster, South Yorks, England on March 17, 1958.

It is described as a "rare original quad size poster" that is in a "very strong condition" and the poster is estimated to fetch between £7,000 to £10,000 ($8,500- $12,200).

The concerts were just 11 months before the American singer was killed in a plane crash in February 1959.

Singer Alvin Stardust attended one of the shows and met Buddy, which inspired the song "I Feel Like Buddy Holly."

The post was previously on display at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio but it will now go on auction at Omega Auctions on April 25.
