SEE IT: Runaway bull leads Texas police on 3-hour chase

A runaway bull led police on a three-hour chase in a residential area of Texas.

Video shared by the Denton Police Department shows officers pursuing the bull up and down driveways and through people's yards.

The animal was eventually tranquilized and captured after a three-hour chase.

Denton PD spokeswoman Amy Cunningham said: "We didn’t expect to get that type of call that night."

Initially, police received calls about a cow that got loose after its owner went for a bite to eat at a local restaurant.

Cunningham added: "It was not a cow, as it turns out. It was a bull, and he was not happy about trying to get back into his trailer.

"The owner had just stopped at a local restaurant and went in for a bite to eat. Somehow, the trailer opened up, and the bull was able to get out.

"We’re still looking into exactly how that happened."

The incident happened on Saturday, June 3.
