A personal trainer used ChatGPT prompts to create tailor-made meal plans - saving at least two hours a week.

Mathew Benvie, 37, shared the tip with his followers where he asked the AI tool to devise a five-day meal plan.

Mathew asked ChatGPT to create a plan with 2,000 calories or less, 150 grams of protein and no bread or gluten.

In just a couple of minutes, Mathew had a complete meal and a grocery list.

He said : "I asked it to avoid bread and that I was gluten-free.

"The real aim was to see what it could come up with and how far I could take it.

The first response didn't have serving sizes, so I asked it to include that and it did.

"Then I asked it to create a table and it did.

"Then I asked it to make me a grocery list and it did."

Mathew says that artificial intelligence is "changing the game" when it comes to meal planning.

The personal trainer, who run his own fitness company in Halifax, Canada, said he wanted to show how easy it is to make meal plans using technology.

Mathew said: "My goal was to show people how to leverage technology to make their lives easier.

"If AI can save me two hours per week trying to figure out my meals then I can use that time to do more of the things they love.

"Maybe that's more dedication to their gym routine, maybe it's more time with friends and family or anything that makes them happy.

"I also wanted to show people how to give the AI prompts to make the answers better and more relevant for them."

Mathew has a kinesiology degree from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia and became a certified trainer in 2008.

He graduated in 2009, starting his personal training studio with only five clients.

Joining forces with his twin brother, he got certified in precision nutrition and now has four locations and over 1,100 clients.
