NASA reveals top images of 2023
The photos range from scientists examining an asteroid sample, to priests blessing a huge rocket set for launch.

Sometimes NASA keeps its feet on the ground, as seen in their top images of 2023.
The pictures were captured and selected by the Washington-based NASA Headquarters photo team, the agency department that mainly deals with Earthbound matters.
They range from scientists gingerly examining an asteroid sample, to priests blessing a huge rocket set for launch.
NASA HQ commented: "From the OSIRIS-REx sample return landing in Utah to the Psyche launch from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, NASA Headquarters’ photographers look back at some of their best photos of the year."
NASA Headquarters provides overall guidance and direction to the agency, with ten field centers and a variety of installations around the country conducting the day-to-day work in laboratories, on air fields, in wind tunnels, and in control rooms.
"Together, this skilled, diverse group of scientists, engineers, managers, and support personnel share the Vision, Mission, and Values that are NASA," the space agency says.
