Creepy hand found on road by cops turns out to be prop

Police called to a busy A-road over reports a hand had been found discovered it was - a prop.
Cambridge officers rushed to the scene on the A1198 after the mysterious tip-off.
However they were able to determine the severed human hand was in fact a fake.
A force spokesperson said: "We have to hand it to this prankster – it's never too early for Halloween.
''Our Policing Cambridge City officers attended a report of a mysterious 'hand' on the A1198 today.
"After a few prods and pokes, it turned out someone is missing a very life-like prop. Hand seized and discarded with no need to go in the freezer."
The amusing finding gave rise to a raft of puns from social media users.
Melanie Reeve joked on social media: "You handled this job very well."
Commenter Dave Vaissiere said: "Round of applause for handling the job in such a professional manner. We are definitely in safe hands" while Craig Rothwell said: "Don't normally like to point the finger… but I think I know who did it."
