Giant elephant roams through campsite completely ignoring humans
The elephant was just strolling nonchalantly.
A giant elephant swaggered through a campsite right next to tents, seemingly completely disregarding any human presence.
Alistair Lyne was at Elephant Sands Lodge, Botswana, when he spotted a huge bull on the lookout for a water source during the country’s dry season.
Knowing there is a special water trough nearby, the massive elephant confidently strode past stunned campers stood just meters away.
As the gentle giant meandered through the campsite, it let out a huge trumpet sound before turning and walked past parked cars and vans.
Alistair said: "A big, badass elephant bull swaggered through the campsite to get to the water trough while I watched.
"At Elephant Sands there is an acceptance of the human presence. The elephants have adapted to co-exist with us and what a big blessing that is."
