Easy tiger! These big cats were spotted having a lover's quarrel.

The male and female were photographed taking swipes at each other in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, India.

Trikansh Sharma, 25, snapped the two after they had finished mating - which can be uncomfortable for the female.

Incredible scenes show the male taking a paw to the side of the head as his partner got tetchy.

Trikansh says: "The female's aggressive response here just after the male finishes mating was maybe a reaction to this discomfort or irritation and male was just defending himself at this moment."

"This was not a true tiger fight. Actually, mating in big cats can be physically uncomfortable for females due to the male's copulatory behavior, which often involves biting the back of the female's neck or holding her in place.
