Woman creates bizarre portrait of Boris Johnson out of HUMAN HAIR

A woman has created a giant portrait of Boris Johnson - made entirely from human hair.

Talented hairdresser Davinia Fox took two days off work and spent 16 hours creating the five-foot by three-foot portrait of the British Prime Minister from the neck up.

Using well over half a black trash bag of hair cut from clients, family and friends, Davinia created a close likeness to Johnson - showcasing his own scruffy blonde locks.

Davinia, of Somerset, England, said she collected the waste hair from cuts during the brief period when businesses were allowed to open up between the lockdowns.

"I had well over half a black sack of hair which I very carefully swept up without my clients knowing," she said.

"I wanted to give something back. I wanted to show how much people's hair did grow throughout the lockdowns without hairdressers there.

"Obviously, it will be swept up, but I would really love it if Boris Johnson could actually see the photograph of it or if he could come down to see it in person, that would be lovely."

Davinia has worked in hairdressing for 26 years and said she felt her profession is not as valued as it should be.

"There's been stigma behind us," she said.

"That has changed as the years have progressed and COVID has definitely helped, now we're essential."

The picture was posted on Facebook, much to the great amusement of her clients and friends.

And she said it was designed as a fond tribute to the Prime Minister.

“I believe it was Boris who brought us through the pandemic," she said.

"He had no idea what was going to happen or how COVID-19 was going to pan out.

"He got married, became a new dad, contracted COVID himself, ended up in hospital and nearly lost his life.

"He is just a man trying to do a good job the best he can. So what better way for me to say thank you, than to try to do a picture of him?”

Davinia has also since emailed a copy to No.10 Downing Street.

She added: “I would love for Boris to see it. I really don’t know if any other hairdresser has done something like this before, I may actually be the first."
