A 20-year-old Star Wars Lego set could fetch £5,000 (over $6,000) at auction.

The ‘Cloud City’ playset was first released in 2003 priced at £99.99 (over .

But two decades later is now one of the rarest and most sought-after Lego items.

Named for a location from 'The Empire Strikes Back' (1980), the set features an exclusive figurine of Boba Fett.

Because it was sold exclusively in Lego shops copies of the set have become difficult to find in recent years - leading to a boom in value.

The set numbered 10123 contains just 648 pieces of Lego and would take around two hours to build.

Still in its original box, it is expected to be sold on December 5 as part of an auction in Bristol held by Auctioneum Ltd.

Auctioneum Toy Specialist Lucy McCourt said: "It’s a remarkable set. It’s largely just basic Lego bricks, with some special Star Wars action figures.

"I understand why it was considered expensive at the time!

''We’re expecting interest from all around the world for this set – it really is a ‘Holy Grail’ for Lego collectors.

"Star Wars is always popular, and when a set contains something exclusive or limited then fans will spend big in order to complete their collection.

"The recent new movies and television series have really pushed Star Wars to new levels and demand is at an all-time high."

The Cloud City set features as part of a five-hundred-lot special Lego Auction at Auctioneum Ltd of Bristol that ends on December 5th.

The catalog can be viewed online via their website.
