A rare flyer for an 1845 boxing match lasting 75 rounds featuring the fighter who is rumored to have given Big Ben its name is to be sold at auction.

The 176-year-old boxing broadside features a famous fight between Ben "Big Ben" Caunt and opponent William "Bendigo" Thompson on September 9, 1845.

It is rumored London's clock tower Big Ben was named after Caunt, who won the fight on a foul in 75 rounds.

The poster's headline reads: "The Great Fight Between Bendigo and Caunt for the Sum of £200 a-side and the Championship of England."

Auctioneers Dominic Winter say no other copies of this broadside have been located, labeling it a "rare survival."

They describe the item as a "printed broadside on thin wove paper, depicting a wood engraving (by J. Howe) at head above title and letterpress text giving a first-hand account of the fight."

The broadside will go on sale at 10 A.M on December 15.
