Meet the students launching a business making dog beds - for HUMANS.

Pals Yuki Kinoshita and Noah Silverman, both 21, came up with the idea after enjoying naps with a local cafe's Great Dane - Lady - in her bed.

The friends - who are on the international economic program at the University of British Columbia- had found themselves exhausted and stressed from their studies and loved curling up beside Lady to relax- just like Stacey Solomon's son Rex.

The "Loose Woman" presenter bought her son a dog bed after he kept stealing and curling up in his dog's one.

It sparked Plufl - their brand of human sized dog beds.

Now they will be launching the business through Kickstarter and have already had a lot of love from other avid nappers.

Noah, originally from Seattle, Washington, said: "I don't know why we didn't think of it sooner."

"We've had so many people messaging saying they've slept in a dog bed for years.

"One guy has already ditched his bed ready for his Plufl to arrive.

"We were spending a lot of time lounging around with Lady and I just thought how comfy her bed was."

Yuki, originally from Washington DC, said: "It's a massive dog bed for humans what is not to love.

"We've tried and tested them, and you get a great nap."

The friends had spent a lot of time lounging in their local cafe with their favorite pet pal, Lady, when they thought of the idea.

"We'd lie down next to her on her massive bed, and it was so comfy," Yuki said.

"I just suddenly thought why is there not a dog bed for humans?"

While in their final year at college, the pair got to work designing their human-sized dog beds and are now getting ready to launch their products through Kickstarter.

The Plufl is 74 inches in length and is big enough for two people to enjoy a snuggle.

"The best way to lie in them is the fetal position," Noah said.

"I'm now having great naps in them between studying sessions."

Although designed for the perfect nap the friends want them to be used for other things too.

"People can read in one, do a bit of work in them," Yuki said.

"We don't want them to be just for napping."

Yuki and Noah have already had lots of excitement and positive reactions to their unique product.

"So many people are so excited for them," Yuki said.

"I think they can see how comfy they look from the photos.

"It's been great working with Noah on this and we can't wait to launch it and share Plufl far and wide."

The Plufl will cost $277 when they launch on Kickstarter.
