The German car brand has created a limited edition soundbar from the original Porsche 911 GT3 lightweight stainless-steel exhaust system.

Porsche Design say the £7,800 ($8,722) 911 Soundbar 2.0 Pro is limited to 500 pieces and uses the exhaust as a subwoofer extension.

"Porsche offers maximum performance and catapults listening pleasure from 0 to pure goose bumps – in one sound curve," they said.

"With more than 300 watts of system power, the soundbar has rich power and strong bass – just like its motorized role model."

It comes with integrated Apple Airplay 2 and Google Chromecast, as well as popular streaming services such as Spotify Connect.

The wi-fi enabled speaker can be used either hanging on the wall or standing on an included base.

"The black high-gloss/matte-black rear silencer and tailpipe trim can be stylishly integrated into any interior," Porsche said.

"As soon as the start light turns green and the sound system is connected, the 911 Soundbar 2.0 Pro delights with unmistakable performance, guaranteeing the ultimate sports car sound for your home."
