Meet the acrobatic dog who performs a handstand while PEEING - to avoid treading in its own mess.

Tracy Thompson, 58, says pooch Panda has always performed the bizarre trick - which locals find hilarious.

Funny video shows the five-year-old Pomerian going up on its front paws while relieving itself.

Tracy, the dog's 'grandmother', from Cheadle, Staffs., said: "I don't know why he started doing it.

"He used to have very long hair and he got black skin alopecia - which some Pomeranians can get.

"When he had long hair he used to hate peeing on himself when he cocked his leg, so he started doing handstands.

"Then that continued, and now when he wees he'll walk for ages down the path as well to avoid the mess - sometimes he can go quite a long way!

"An ordinary dog might just cock their leg and continue on their way, Panda though can just go on and on and on - the longer he's done it the further he's gone."
