Hurricane Ian has left whole neighborhoods in Florida underwater as it brought torrential rain and stormy weather to the state.

Footage from Naples, Key West, Fort Lauderdale and Cape Coral shows the extent of the damage giving a glimpse into what the rest of the state has experienced.

One Key West resident said: "We expect the surge by 4 P.M. but things are getting better. Some streets are dryer."

The National Hurricane Center said the storm will remain a Category 4 as winds reached up to 140 MPH, but is expected to weaken as it makes its way up the state.
