Huge dog completely destroys swimming pool

This hilarious video shows the moment a dog owner catches his naughty pup flooding the garden -by emptying their swimming pool.

Luke Smith, 18, had bought the above-ground pool to keep himself, and one-year-old Saint Bernard Gigi, cool in the heatwave.

But he got the shock of his life when he heard a gushing sound coming from the garden and rushed out to find Gigi had breached the pool.

Gigi was half in / half out of the pool, pulling the side down and allowing the water to flow freely.

College football player Luke, from Corona, California, said: “The video was taken on a regular hot summer day in June and the incident occurred in the backyard.

“We had just gotten an above-ground pool because of the Cali Heat and Gigi took a love to it!"

"One day we are upstairs and we heard rushing water outside. As I walked into the kitchen, I could see water through the glass so I instantly pulled out my phone to record what was happening.

“My girlfriend and I walk out to find Gigi standing half in, half out of the pool, and the entire back yard was flooded.

“Our reaction was obviously 'Gigi Stop', but other than that it was all funny because we had just been talking about how much she loved the pool and she could get in and out no problem.

"Boy were we wrong. We have not gotten her another pool - for obvious reasons.

"Now we resort to earth's natural pool - at the beach! She loves going to the doggy beach in Huntington, California and playing with all the other pups and we love taking her!”
