SWIMMING TRUNKS: Elephant family caught splashing about in summer sun

An adorable video shows a family of elephants splashing about in the water as they enjoy the last of the summer sun.

Young African elephant Tarli, 6, was joined by mom Damini, 27 as she got her trunks on to cool down during last week's heatwave.

The elephants can be seen dipping their heads under the water and flapping their ears as they cool themselves down.

They were also joined by Tarli's aunts Chandrika, 29 and Yu-Zin, 42 as they made the most of the final rays of sunshine.

The family were bathing at a private lake in their home at the 3,000-acre wide Woburn Safari Park, Beds.

The park is also home to lions, rhinos and giraffes, as well as exotic birds and reptiles - including the deadly boa constrictor.
